If this is true, this may open up a path to get Baka-Tsuki or at least get some partnership going with Odd-Squad to work on translating the remaining volumes (which is a lot).

I just posted the whole translation of the original post on the board, separate thread.

To summarize what he said, a good news and a bad news.

The good news is that he is not willing to exercise his copyrights on the MS, for three following years(that makes it December of 2014)

Actually, he seems willing to allow people enjoy his work as long as it's non-commercial.

He won't allow anyone officially profit from the translated reproduction of the story.

The bad news is that he limited reproduction of his work past fifth volume(Korean publication standard).

He didn't allow further reproduction of the story after that.

From the way he wrote in his posting, the author seems to think that official publication of further volumes will require more attention and interest of more people. And I presume that if we can get more people to read the story(perhaps by telling those who use google translation to stick with us? lol), he might consider further publication on e-book. Then we would be able to enjoy more reliable(no offense!) translation with no doubt.

Why is this thread even still open?

OSS will never ask for money for releases, ever. Period. We don't want to be paid, we don't want to deal with paying. We're only doing this for fun because we want to read it. The author seems to not care as long as we don't get paid, so it's a non issue. Any threads like this will be closed in the future.
