Question about player origin

Why do no npcs notice the millions of people come from no where? I know that they come from some weird Continent or something but its a bit strange.

Suspension of disbelief.

I was under the impression that the NPCs of the starting cities are programmed to treat this event normally, akin to somebody being born in the real world.

Its not like they know how many players there are exactly... they just believe they are sent by the "holy woman" (or was it a seer?). Why worry about a few thousand "pilgrims" when you have to deal with the neighbours you're known all your live?

hey hey hey. sorry if this sounds rude, but don't put logic into fiction.

I mean, come on. Think about it. The NPCs could see someone die, and yet the next day, when the dead person logs back in, they don't care. Seriously. Example:

NPC: oh hello Musica!
Musica: Hello Steve! (gets mauled by a bear)
NPC: NO! MY BEST FRIEND!
*Then next day*
NPC: oh hello, Musica!
Musica: Hello, Steve! (walks right by)

Also, we don't notice every single person coming into our countries... and we don't really notice when each of them dies either.
Chances are that none of us even know the number of immigrants coming into our countries each year (without looking it up).

The world is a game, so it doesn't have 100% realism

eh I think the npcs just assume we're all country bumpkins seeking our fortune in their country.

shouldn't we be more worried about the fame?


Musica: *alone in a dark cave* okay, now to finish you off! *kills a boss*
(Meanwhile, at a town on the other side of the world...)
NPC: hey, did you hear about that guy, lxdarknessxl? I hear he blew up the town next to ours! It's so scary, ri- hey, did you hear? Some archmage named Musica...

Besides, I think Fame works a bit slower then that...
