Recruitment Empty Recruitment

Post  Ashling Mon Jan 03, 2011 12:48 pm

Hi, I have a question about proof reading recruitment.
1. Time-max time I would be able to do would be 4 hours, but I have exams coming up so I might not be able to do 4 hours. Are there exceptions to the time rule?
Surprised

Hello there~

Um, you see we proof in twos, so firstly you have to be in a time zone that can match either me, dedd or blique's time. Usually we proof around 6-8 pages at a time so it takes us an hour or two... but new recruits always take more time.. almost twice as much ---

tell me which timezone you're in and what 4 hours you'll be free on~

I am an eastern time zone (ontario CA), and I am not sure what hours I can do because I have exams coming up in 12 days.

My suggestion is applying after the exams.. because the first 2-3 weeks counts (on whether you stay with us or not)

Is proof reading like editing? I mean English editing, like fixing grammar/minor mistakes and such. If it is, I'd like to apply. Right now, I'm the editor for Second Life Project scripts. I got an A2 for Cambridge GCE 'O' Levels, so may be I can help?

Recruitment Empty Proof of Time and Money

Questions!

By editing, do you mean taking Engrish effect/affect illiterate translations and going poet-perfect on it, without needing to draw anything?

I am a grammar expert but my drawing skills are worse than Rukia's! Hahahah! *sits in corner, then comes back*

Also, do I get paid? I don't care about money...then again I AM in college. And in debt. But I love manga so... Just wondering.

Lastly! I can't do it on Wednesdays and Fridays, cause of my other job. My Timezone is CST/EST [Texas], GMT (-5 to -7). Is this okay?

Also, when is the next time you will need English-only proofreaders?

Um i think all your questions are answered in our site's recruitment page.... do give it a thorough read ... and no, you only need to work with text, no drawing.

Thank you very much. I have one last question. It asks for both Nationality and Country of Residence. For Nationality are you referring to the country once more or ethnicity/race?
