I'm stuck on shading -.- Advice?
I'm doing this artwork for a story I'm writing. I have the color on everything but now I'm stumped on how to do the shading. I just need some advice or an idea if you have any. Right now I'm about to give up and leave it as it is, which would be a shame to leave it looking so flat. Please help >.<
P.S. For some reason photobucket made my picture blurry >.>

Hmm, depends on what you want the mood to be...You can try using color, like red to make it striking, blue to make it solemn, yellow to make it hopeful...
I think it would look nice if it was overall bathed in shadows, with some faint highlights, with the light source being top center.
But I'm not very experienced with different shading techniques, so...^^;

I think you should shade as you would normally do. After that add an hour glass effect overlay on it.. and everything will be fine~
