Just been thinking, but...

Seems like an awesome setting for a text-based RP. Yeah, stats might be an issue, but the duality of real life/in-game might be fun to toy with.

Anyone wants to experiment with this idea?

What exactly do you mean by "RP". I am unfamilliar with this term.

I think he mis-spelt RPG.

RP - Role Play
RPG - Role Playing Game.

RPG is the video game kind. RP usually means a PbP(Post by Post) forum one.

Thus, I didn't mis-spell anything. It's simple internet lingo.

That aside, anyone who thinks similarly to me?

I'm not an expert but RPG is not synonymous to video games, far from it the komputer kind of RPG's are attempts of translating the book Role Playing Games like D&D (Dungeons and Dragons) into the computer medium and if it has rules(that can be altered bend or even broken by the GM[Game Master]) and a setting(like wise subjectable to the will of the almighty GM ;D) moderated by somebody(once again GM in the computer version mostly by the computer program itself) then I would call it an RPG and RP would be the act of playing that game

As for the playability of the setting i wouldn't be surprised to find there to already be many such, and if not you could always modify any SF(Science Fiction) one probably a cyberpunk one should have rules for VR(virtual reality) if you are concerned about the mechanics and I'm sure there are plenty of GM's out here that aren't ;P so find a good GM and there is no more need for experimentation, every thing should be fine and quite interesting

But there are probably a lot more virtual RPGs than RL ones so I can see from where the misconception is derived.
